Early Life and Training
Gohar (born as Oleksandr Herasymenko) was born in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. From a young age, he honed his skills in acrobatics, juggling, and equilibristics at a local circus studio. However, his true passion lay in the art of clowning.
Education and Career
After completing his studies in circus direction at the Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema and Television, Gohar embarked on his professional career as a clown. He performed alongside his brother, Oleh, under the stage name "Clown Gosha." Their innovative interpretations of classic clown routines garnered widespread acclaim.
Notable Performances
The Herasymenko brothers became renowned for their signature skits, including "Hats," "The Spider," "Applause," "The Arrow," "The Bobbins," and "Badminton." These performances showcased their exceptional comedic timing, slapstick skills, and endearing audience interactions.
International Recognition
Gohar and his brother have graced the stages of prestigious international circus festivals. They won the Audience Award at the 2005 Bucharest International Circus Art Festival and the Special Prize at the 2009 Wuchang International Circus Festival.
