Biography of Konstantin Nikolaev

Konstantin Nikolaev, the CEO of GK "N-Trans," is a prominent Russian businessman known for his involvement in various companies. He holds a significant stake in the group of companies GK "N-Trans," which includes companies like Globaltrans and Global Ports, both listed on the London Stock Exchange. Additionally, he is also a beneficiary of OAO "Mostotrest."

Ranked 89th in the Forbes "Richest Businessmen in Russia - 2011" list and 72nd in the Forbes "Richest Businessmen in Russia - 2012" list, Nikolaev's net worth is estimated at $1.1 billion.

Born in 1970 in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, Nikolaev graduated from the Philosophy Faculty of Moscow State University in 1993. He started his career in the shipping industry as an expeditionary in Murmansk port from 1992 to 1993. In 1994, together with Andrei Filatov and Nikita Mishin, he founded his own expeditionary company, "Aniko Marin."

In 2006, Nikolaev, along with Filatov and Mishin, acquired a stake in one of the largest infrastructure companies, OAO "Mostotrest." He is also the beneficiary of Marc O'Polo Investments and a shareholder of Transportation Investments Holdings Ltd. He co-owns OOO "United Collection Systems" and controls the company Global Ports, which owns 100% of OAO "Petrolesport."

Through Global Ports, Nikolaev is also a co-owner of Vopak EOS, the largest terminal for petroleum products transshipment in Tallinn, Estonia, and has stakes in Estonian companies Spacecom and Spacecom Trans, which lease tankers.

Together with Filatov and Mishin, he controls 20% of OOO "Transoil" and 100% of the shares of the GK "N-Trans" group, which includes over 20 transportation companies, including major ones like OAO "Novaya Perevozchaya Kompaniya" (rail transport), OOO "Balttransservis" (railway transport), OAO "Petrolesport," ZAO "Vostochnaya Stividornaya Kompaniya," OOO "Vladivostokskiy Konteynerniy Terminal" (port container handling), and ZAO "Transit Cargo Trans" (road transport).

Globaltrans, under Nikolaev's control, owns 100% of the shares of OAO "Novaya Perevozchaya Kompaniya" and "Sevtekhnotrans." In 2011, he acquired a stake in "Domashnie Dengi," a company specializing in providing loans to individuals at home. The same year, Nikolaev sold a portion of his shares in OOO "Transoil" to Gennady Timchenko.

Nikolaev is also one of the founders of the Moscow School of Management "Skolkovo." He is married and has five children.
