Konstantin Tsybulsky is a renowned Belarusian poet, writer, and lyricist. He holds a prominent position as a member of the Union of Writers of Belarus and serves as the head of the Union's music sector.

Early Life and Career

Born into a military family in Belarus, Tsybulsky served in the Armed Forces of the USSR before embarking on his literary journey. In 1976, he enrolled in the preparatory division of the philology faculty at Belarusian State University. From 1977 to 1982, he studied Philology and graduated with honors.

Literary Contributions

After graduation, Tsybulsky ventured into the world of writing. In 1982, he became an inspector for minors in the Slutsk District Police Department. During his tenure there, he led the literary creative union "Sluc" for a decade. In 1992, he compiled and published the first poetry collection of Slutsk poets, "On the Wings of the Soul."

Tsybulsky's own poetry collection, "Moonlit Night," was published in 1994 as part of the "Youth Library" series. This marked a significant milestone in his literary career. In collaboration with renowned Belarusian composer Valery Ivanov, Tsybulsky co-wrote the celebrated song "Father's Log Home," which gained widespread recognition in Belarus, performed by Anatol Yarmolenko and the ensemble "Syabry."

Police Service and Literary Recognition

In 1998, Tsybulsky assumed the role of head of the press center for the Minsk Regional Police. He retired from the police force with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and subsequently worked in various capacities, including at the Committee on Labor and Social Welfare of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

Throughout his distinguished career, Tsybulsky has published four poetry and song collections: "Moonlit Night" (1994), "Prayer and Song" (2005), "Silhouette in the Window" (2006), and "A Moment Over the Abyss" (2009). The latter featured an introductory word by renowned Russian writer Arkady Vainer.

Musical Collaborations

Tsybulsky's literary talent has extended beyond poetry into the realm of music. His lyrics have been set to music by prominent composers including Valery Ivanov, Leonid Zakhlevny, and Nikolai Satsuro. His songs have graced the repertoire of renowned Belarusian singers and ensembles such as Valery Daineko, Nikolai Skorykov, and the ensembles "Syabry," "Beseda," and "Pesnyary."

International Recognition and Honors

Tsybulsky's literary prowess has been acknowledged internationally. He participated and emerged victorious in the "Adventures Come Naturally" literary contest in Poland (2007). He has also been the recipient of numerous medals from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and Belarus, as well as honorary diplomas from the Minsk Regional Executive Committee and other esteemed organizations.
