Kirste Crompton: From Obesity to Marathon Runner
A Journey of TransformationKirste Crompton, a mother of five from Liverpool, England, embarked on an extraordinary weight loss journey that has left her unrecognizable from the person she once was. After struggling with obesity and postpartum depression, Kirste found solace in food, leading her weight to climb to an alarming 295 pounds.

The Breaking Point
In January 2014, a rude awakening came when another mother called her a "fat cow" during an argument. Determined to change her life, Kirste rented a treadmill and began exercising in the privacy of her own home.

Weight Loss and Running
Kirste started with a simple alternating program of walking and running, gradually increasing her distance and intensity. As her fitness improved, she began running for 30 minutes every day, covering 3 miles each time.

Dietary Overhaul
Alongside her exercise regimen, Kirste also overhauled her diet. Junk foods, sugary drinks, and processed meals were replaced with fruits, yogurt, and low-calorie dishes. She also gave up white wine in favor of water and fresh juices.

Physical and Mental Transformation
The combination of exercise and nutrition had a profound impact on Kirste's health and well-being. Her mood improved, her depression lifted, and her blood sugar levels stabilized. Within five months, she had lost 55 pounds, dropping down to a size 16.

Running as a Passion
Kirste developed a newfound passion for running. In July 2014, she completed a 10K race, followed by the full Rexham Marathon the following year, with a time of 6 hours and 15 minutes.

A New Life
Today, Kirste is a svelte and energetic mother who has shed more than 132 pounds. She has become a regular marathon runner and is preparing for triathlon competitions. Her incredible transformation has inspired countless others to believe in the power of perseverance and self-improvement.
