Kristen Dalton: From Pageants to Philanthropy
Early Life and FamilyKristen Dalton, an American model, was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, to Jeanine Dalton, who represented the state in the Miss USA 1982 pageant. Kristen has two sisters: Kenzie, a former Miss Teen North Carolina runner-up, and Julia, who was Miss Teen USA 2008. The Dalton family is of English and German descent.
Education and Early Career
Kristen graduated with honors from East Carolina University with a double major in psychology and Spanish. In 2008, she won the Miss North Carolina USA 2009 title, having previously placed second in the Miss Teen USA 2005 pageant.
Miss USA 2009
At the Miss USA 2009 pageant held in Las Vegas, Kristen excelled in the swimsuit and evening gown competitions. She was crowned the winner, becoming the second woman from North Carolina to hold the title.
Miss Universe
Kristen represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2009 pageant, placing in the top 10. She has since advocated for the Children International charity organization.
Personal Life
Kristen is currently in a relationship with Reid Rosenthal, a contestant on season 5 of The Bachelorette.
