Early Life and Family
Kristina Mladenovic was born in Bratislava, Slovakia, to Alena and Jozef Mladenovic. Her mother serves as her manager, and she has an older sister, Zuzana, who is also a professional tennis player.
Tennis Beginnings
Mladenovic began playing tennis at the age of six at her father's tennis school. She prefers playing from the baseline and considers her forehand to be her strongest shot. Her favorite surface is hard court, and she cites Roger Federer as her tennis idol.
Junior Career
Mladenovic achieved success in junior tennis, reaching a career-high ranking of third in the world. She won the 2007 US Open in girls' singles and reached the semifinals of the 2007 Australian Open in girls' doubles.
ITF and WTA Career
