Academic and Educational BackgroundBorn into a humble background, the distinguished economist and political figure embarked on his academic journey at the prestigious Belgrade University. He excelled in his studies, culminating in the attainment of a doctoral degree in economics.
Professorship and University Leadership
Armed with his doctorate, he assumed the role of Professor and Dean at the Economic Faculty of the University of Skopje. His exceptional academic abilities and leadership qualities were evident as he served as the University's Rector from 1965 to 1967.
Political Ascent
Beyond academia, the economist ascended to the political realm. He held the position of Chairman of the Executive Council of the Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Macedonia from 1968 to 1974. His influence extended to the federal level, where he became Chairman of the National Bank of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) from 1977 to 1981.
