Early Life and Education

Zaure Shamshieva was born on June 9, 1942, in the village of Akzhar, Uygentas District, Almaty region. In 1967, she graduated from the Theater Faculty of the Kurmangazy Kazakh State Institute of Arts, specializing in "actress of theater and cinema."

Acting Career

Upon graduation, Shamshieva was accepted as an actress into the Kazakh State Children's and Youth Theater. She remained with the theater for the rest of her life, from 1967 to 2024. Over her career, she performed in over 100 roles.

Awards and Recognition

In 1998, Shamshieva was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Death and Legacy

Zaure Shamshieva passed away on September 12, 2024, at the age of 82. She left behind a legacy of exceptional performances on the Kazakh stage.

Family

Shamshieva's father was Sopkan Kazhigali, and her mother was Tursymbaeva Kulshiman. She was married to director Kaliola Mergaziev. They had three children: son Kuandyk (born 1964) and daughters Kuralai (born 1967) and Karlygash Kaisabekova (born 1971).
