Garrison Cade: A Journey in the WWE
Early YearsGarrison Cade made his WWE debut in 2003, teaming up with Mark Jindrak in a losing effort against David Flair and Hurricane. Cade then engaged in a series of matches with Lance Storm before reuniting with Jindrak in an attempt to make a name for themselves in the tag team division.
Pursuit of Tag Team Gold
Cade and Jindrak's first shot at the World Tag Team Championships came at Armageddon 2003, where they fell short in a tag team tournament. They also competed in a four-way tag team match at WrestleMania XX, but again failed to capture the titles.
Singles Competition and Heel Turn
After Jindrak was drafted to SmackDown!, Cade embarked on a solo career. At Backlash 2004, he inexplicably assisted Jonathan Coachman in defeating Tajiri. Cade and Coachman formed an alliance, feuding with Tajiri and The Hurricane. Following a loss at Vengeance 2004, Cade disappeared from RAW.
Reinvention as Lance Cade
Under the new moniker of Lance Cade, he emerged alongside Trevor Murdoch, forming a tag team that quickly ascended to the World Tag Team Championships. After losing the titles, the duo was split up, with neither finding significant success as singles competitors.
Friendship Betrayal
In 2007, Cade and Murdoch faced The Hardy Boyz and extended a show of respect by shaking hands. The following month, Cade and Murdoch repeatedly voiced their admiration for Matt and Jeff and proclaimed them as friends. In a friendly title match on RAW, Cade and Murdoch emerged victorious, becoming the new champions. However, after the match, Cade and Murdoch attacked Matt, revealing their true heelish nature.
