Biography of Bruce Hart

Bruce Hart is a Canadian professional wrestler who made his debut in 1973 and retired from the sport in 1998. He comes from the prominent Hart wrestling family, known for producing several well-known wrestlers in North America. Bruce is the second son of Stu Hart, who not only trained him but also owned the wrestling league 'Stampede Wrestling' where Bruce began his career.

Career

Bruce Hart formed a tag team called 'Bad Company' with Brian Pillman and competed in Stampede Wrestling. He later joined the more renowned World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and wrestled alongside Owen Hart. He participated in various events such as 'Survivor Series' (1993), 'SummerSlam' (1994), 'Monday Night Raw' (summer 1994), and played a crucial role in the 'American-Canadian War' in 1997, a ten-match team tournament.

In 1996, Bruce Hart joined the independent New York-based wrestling league, Ultimate Championship Wrestling (UCW), where he faced opponents like Chris Chavis and Jim Neidhart. Throughout his wrestling career, Bruce achieved notable accomplishments including winning the PPW Tag Team Championship, ranking 481st among the top 500 wrestlers according to 'Pro Wrestling Illustrated' (2003), winning the NWA International Tag Team Championship twice, and capturing multiple titles in the Stampede Wrestling organization.

Retirement and Post-Wrestling Life

Bruce Hart retired from wrestling in 1998. Aside from his own wrestling career, he also trained other wrestlers, notably contributing to the success of many young talents in UCW. Until 2005, he co-managed 'Stampede Wrestling' with his brother Ross, but eventually ceased his involvement in the league. Currently, Hart works as a teacher in the Calgary Board of Education. It is said that the former wrestler, known as 'Cowboy,' still attends classes in cowboy boots, which reportedly delights his students.

Personal Life

Bruce Hart was previously married to Andrea Redding, and they have five children together: Bret, Bruce, Rhett, Tori, and Lara. However, Hart divorced his wife and remarried Rachel Overholt, a former student, in January 2007. They welcomed their first child, Davis Gene Hart, in October of the same year.
