Biography of Larry Harvey
Larry Harvey, the founder of the "Burning Man" festival, is currently the leader of this project. He holds the position of Chairman at the Burning Man company and also manages the Art Department, organizing many exhibitions and festivals.

Larry Harvey was born in 1948 in the United States. He is one of the founders of the "Burning Man" festival. Growing up on a small farm near Portland, Oregon, he had a penchant for fun and often found himself in trouble. In the late 1970s, Larry moved to San Francisco, where he quickly immersed himself in the city's cultural underground scene and made interesting acquaintances.
In 1986, together with his friends, Larry decided to organize the "Burning Man" festival on one of the beaches in San Francisco. Initially, the project involved just over 20 people who gathered to have fun and express themselves through fire. The culmination of the festival became the burning of a man-shaped effigy, which marked the beginning of a longstanding tradition. By 1988, the number of participants exceeded 200, and in 1993, the festival was attended by about 1,000 extraordinary individuals.
The Burning Man Festival
The "Burning Man" festival became Larry Harvey's main occupation, as he dedicated almost all of his free time to it. At present, the Burning Man project is a large festival that lasts about 8 days. The main venue for the festival is the Black Rock Desert, located in Nevada.
At the festival, one can meet many interesting people with vibrant appearances and unconventional thinking. Almost all attendees of the festival are participants themselves. The Burning Man festival is an exciting fire show where one can not only showcase their fire-taming skills but also exchange experiences, make new acquaintances, and meet old friends. For many Americans, this project has become an integral part of their lives. In 2008, nearly 50,000 people attended the Burning Man show. In 2009, the festival's theme was "Evolution."
