Laura Antonelli Biography

Laura Antonelli, an Italian actress, was born on November 28, 1941, in Yugoslavia, to an Italian family. Initially, she aspired to become a teacher, but her participation in the television program "Carousel" completely changed her plans.

She made her film debut in 1966, mostly playing minor roles. She gained recognition for her role in the historical comedy "The Bride Wore Black" (France, 1970), directed by Jean-Paul Rappeneau.

From the early 1970s onwards, Antonelli mainly starred in erotic films. Notable among them are Salvatore Samperi's films, such as "Malicious" (Malizia, 1973), "Venial Sin" (Peccato Veniale, 1974), "Innocent and Pure" (1981), and "Malicious 2000" (Malizia 2Mila, 1991). She also achieved success in erotic comedies, including Luigi Comencini's "Oh, Serafina!" (Mio Dio, Come Sono Caduta In Basso, 1974) and Luigi Zampa's "Wild Bed" (Letti Selvaggi, 1979).

However, her outstanding performance came in the leading female role in "The Innocent" (L'innocente, 1976) directed by Luchino Visconti, which showcased her exceptional dramatic talent. She was able to confirm her abilities once again in the psychological drama "Passion of Love" (Passione D'amore, 1981) directed by Ettore Scola.

Antonelli's angelic face and divine figure made her a seductive and sensual actress. She was also known for her romantic relationship with Jean-Paul Belmondo.
