Biography of Lauren Ambrose
Lauren Ambrose, an American actress, was born in 1978 in New Haven, Connecticut. Her original last name is D'Ambruoso, but it was Americanized to Ambrose by her Italian relatives on her father's side. Since her childhood, Lauren had a passion for acting, singing, and performing arts. After graduating from high school, she chose to study opera and vocal performance at the Tanglewood Institute at Boston University.

Early Career
Lauren's acting career began on the theater stages of New York City and with small roles on television. However, her distinct red hair, unique appearance, and captivating voice quickly made her stand out. In 1997, she made her film debut, and by 2000, she landed the lead role of Frankie Wheeler in Robert J. Siegel's drama "Swimming." That same year, Lauren Ambrose also played another lead character in the comedy-horror film "Psycho Beach Party." Her performance in the TV series "Six Feet Under," which premiered in 2001, earned her two Emmy nominations and brought her maximum recognition and fame.
