French virtuoso violinist Régis Pasquier was born in Paris on December 2, 1945. He began studying violin at the age of five and later attended the prestigious Paris Conservatory, where he studied under Michel Auclair, a renowned pupil of Jacques Thibaud and George Enescu.

After completing his studies at the Paris Conservatory, Pasquier embarked on a period of further study at the Royal College of Music in London. This experience broadened his musical horizons and refined his technical skills.
