The False Black Widow is one of the 12 most dangerous spiders observed in the United Kingdom, and the number of attacks on humans is increasing. Recently, a school in Gloucestershire had to close for pest control due to the spider threat. Although the bite of this spider is not deadly in itself, it is unpleasant due to the side effects - wound infection, fever, general malaise, and allergic reactions.
