Lee Aaron, a renowned Canadian jazz and rock singer, embarked on her musical journey in 1979 as part of a school rock band.
Debut and Teenage Stardom
After graduating high school, Aaron relocated to Toronto and inked a deal with Freedom Records. In 1982, she released her debut album, "Lee Aaron Project," produced by Robert Connolly. The album showcased her early rock leanings.
Evolution and Rise to Metal Queen
Aaron's sophomore album, "Call of the Wild" (1985), marked a significant evolution. She emerged as a mature singer-songwriter, embracing her seductive persona. Extensive touring in Europe throughout the 1980s further solidified her reputation.
Commercial Success and Platinum Albums
The 1987 self-titled album, "Lee Aaron," cemented her status as "The Metal Queen." It propelled her to the forefront of Canadian rock music. Subsequent albums, "Bodyrock" (1989) and "Some Girls Do" (1991), both achieved platinum status in Canada.
