Lena Philipsson, a Swedish pop singer, songwriter, pianist, and television presenter, also known as Lena F, was born on January 19, 1966, in Vetlanda, a small town in southern Sweden. As a teenager, she sang in the group "Jupiters kratrar." In 1982, at the age of 16, she participated in the Swedish version of the "New Faces" competition and won the national final with a song she wrote herself. This marked the beginning of her music career.

In 1984, Philipsson released her first single, "Boy/You Open My Eyes," and participated in the Swedish music competition "Melodifestivalen" in 1986, 1987, and 1988. In 1986, she achieved second place in "Melodifestivalen" with her song "Kärleken är evig," which became a hit in Sweden.

During the early years of her career, Philipsson sewed her own costumes. In 1987, she released the song "Aquarius" as a duet with Russian composer and singer Igor Nikolayev. Two years later, her album "My Name" became a great success, featuring hits like "Standing In My Rain," "Why," and "Leave A Light."

Philipsson released her new album "Jag ångrar ingenting" in 2005, which sold over 30,000 copies within a day. In January 2006, she announced that she would host "Melodifestivalen" in 2006. Despite initial doubts due to her previous image, the family-friendly show was well-received.

In 2007, she released a compilation album titled "Lena 20 år," featuring her greatest hits, except for the failed 1993 album "Fantasy," and a new song called "Jag måste skynda mig på." Philipsson and Thomas Eriksson launched their show "Lena+Orup" at the Chinese Theater in Stockholm, which received acclaim from both audiences and critics. In 2008, the show premiered in Gothenburg and went on tour throughout Sweden.

In 2008, Philipsson and Eriksson released their duet album "Dubbel." In the early 90s, she became one of three pop stars whose portraits appeared on Swedish postage stamps, alongside "Roxette" and Jerry Williams.
