Once Lene became a member of 'Aqua,' her life revolved around concerts, tours, and dividing her time between Denmark and the United States. During her time in the group, she fell in love with her bandmate Soren Rasted. In 2001, Lene married Soren and decided to leave 'Aqua,' reportedly due to their developing relationship. Career Highlights and Solo Work

Lene's career with 'Aqua' began when she sang aboard a ferry from Norway to Denmark. Rene Dif approached her after her performance and offered her a spot in a group called 'Joyspeed.' Alongside Dif, Soren Rasted, and Claus Norreen, the group achieved fame and even had several singles that reached the top charts in countries where European music was not commonly embraced.

In 2001, Lene left 'Aqua,' but rumors surfaced in October 2007 that the group would reunite. In 2003, Lene released her first solo album, 'Play With Me.' Although the album failed to climb higher than 74th place in the charts, the singles from the album, such as 'It's Your Duty,' reached the third spot on the Danish single charts in 2003. Another successful single was 'Pretty Young Thing' in 2004.

One of the songs included in her album 'Play With Me' was 'Here We Go,' a cover version of the song 'Moonbaby.' Lene's interpretation of the song served as the basis for another cover version by the group 'Girls Aloud.' The band used another track from Lene, 'We Wanna Party,' for their album 'Out of Control.'

Later Career and Acting

After her solo career, Lene shifted her focus to songwriting for other artists. She wrote songs such as 'No Good Advice' and 'You Freak Me Out' for the first album 'Sound of the Underground' by 'Girls Aloud.' 'No Good Advice' became a superhit, solidifying 'Girls Aloud' in the mainstream music scene, while 'You Freak Me Out' was featured in the 'Freaky Friday' soundtrack by Disney.

In addition to her music career, Lene also tried her hand at acting. In 2009, she played one of the lead roles in the film 'Deliver Us From Evil.'
