Early Life and Wrestling Career in Ukraine

Born in Uzbekistan to Crimean Tatar parents, Lenur Temirov began wrestling at the age of 6 under the guidance of the Saliev brothers in his hometown of Solnechnaya Dolina. He quickly rose through the ranks, winning competitions in his age group and achieving the candidate for Master of Sports status at the age of 14.

In 2006, Temirov debuted internationally at the European Cadet Championships in Turkey, finishing fifth. The following year, he secured a bronze medal at the same tournament in Warsaw. He also triumphed in several domestic youth competitions.

Success at Junior and Senior Levels

Temirov's breakthrough came in 2010 when he won silver at the European Junior Championships in Bulgaria and gold at the Ukrainian Championships. He also competed at the senior World Championships in Moscow, finishing a respectable seventh.

In 2012, Temirov represented Ukraine at the London Olympics in the 60kg weight category. However, he was eliminated in the qualifying round by Kazakhstan's Almat Kebispayev.

Post-Annexation Career

After the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014, Temirov faced a difficult decision regarding his international representation. He initially competed for Ukraine at the Ukrainian Championships but later debuted for Russia. However, he ultimately decided to return to competing for Ukraine.

Success with Ukraine and Achievements

As a member of the Ukrainian team, Temirov achieved notable success at the international level. He won a bronze medal at the 2018 World Championships in Budapest and claimed another bronze at the 2019 European Championships in Bucharest.

Temirov holds a Master of Sports degree from the Tavrida National University. His accomplishments include:
