Biography of Leroy Dixon
Leroy Dixon, born on June 20, 1983, in South Bend, USA, is a track and field athlete specializing in short distance running and relay events. He received his early education at La Salle School, where he developed a passion for athletics. Prior to focusing on track and field, Dixon was a member of the football, basketball, and volleyball teams.
Education
After completing high school, Dixon enrolled in the University of Kansas City, and later transferred to the University of South Carolina in 2004. In 2006, he graduated with a degree in Criminology.
Athletic Career
Dixon began his professional athletic career in 2004, and quickly emerged as one of the fastest sprinters in his university. In the same year, he placed fifth in the national JUCO championships. In 2005, he finished ninth in the NCAA Outdoors championships and seventh in the USA Outdoors with a time of 21.21 seconds in the 200-meter event.
In 2006, Dixon achieved eighth place in the NCAA Outdoors championships and sixth place in the first round of the USA Outdoors. The following year, he won a gold medal in the 4x100-meter relay event at the World Outdoor Championships and finished sixth in the USA Outdoors. Dixon also competed in the London Olympics, where he placed sixth.
In 2008, Dixon secured second place in the USA Indoors championships. He also represented the United States in the 4x100-meter relay event at the Beijing Olympics, alongside notable athletes such as Amber Campbell, Anna Willard, Britni Ritz, Dustin Jones, David Neville, and Ebony Floyd.

Currently, Leroy Dixon is training under the guidance of John Smith and is represented by agent Danny Escamilla. He is a member of the sports club Nike. In his free time, Dixon enjoys spending time with friends, playing volleyball or basketball.
