Leroy Sané: A Star Striker in the Making

Early Career and Youth Success

Born in Essen, Germany, Leroy Sané began his football journey at the academy of Wattenscheid 09. He later joined Schalke 04 and in 2008, became a member of Bayer Leverkusen's youth team. In 2010, he lifted the Western Bundesliga title with Bayer.

Return to Schalke and Domestic Trophies

In 2011, Sané returned to Schalke, where he continued to shine at the youth level. As part of the U-17 team, he won the Westfalen Cup twice (2012, 2013) and the Western German Championship once.

Schalke 04

In March 2014, Sané signed a professional contract with Schalke, effective from July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2017. He made his Bundesliga debut in April 2014 as a substitute against Stuttgart. His first Bundesliga goal came in December 2014, in a match against Köln.

Manchester City: A Landmark Transfer

In August 2016, Sané made a high-profile move to Manchester City for a fee of €55 million, becoming the most expensive German footballer at the time. He signed a five-year contract with the Premier League giants.

International Career

Sané made his international debut for Germany's U-19 team in 2014, scoring the winning goal against the Netherlands. In 2015, he played for the U-21 team and received his first senior call-up in November 2015, making his debut against France.
