David Castedo: A Spanish Football Legend

Early Career at Mallorca

David Castedo was born and raised in Palma de Mallorca and began his football career with local club Mallorca. He made his senior debut in the Segunda División during the 1995/96 season and played a key role in the team's promotion to La Liga in 1997. However, he lost his place in the starting lineup and left Mallorca in 2000 after four and a half seasons.

Journey Through Second Division Clubs

Castedo spent brief spells with Hércules and Extremadura in the Segunda División. He then rejoined Mallorca in 1999, but played only eight times and scored his only career league goal.

Success at Sevilla

In 2000, Castedo joined Sevilla, where he achieved significant success. He helped the team win Segunda División in his first season and became a regular starter. Under manager Juande Ramos, Sevilla won two UEFA Cups (2006, 2007), the UEFA Super Cup (2006), and the Copa del Rey (2007).

Later Career and Retirement

After leaving Sevilla in 2007, Castedo signed with Levante. He played 18 times for the club in the 2007/08 season, which ended with Levante being relegated from La Liga. Castedo retired from football following the end of the season.
