Leslie Mann is an American actress, best known for her numerous roles in comedy films, often alongside her husband Judd Apatow. She was born in San Francisco, California. Mann began her career in show business at the age of seventeen, appearing in commercials.

Early Career

After several minor roles, Mann received her first significant role in the medical drama "Birdland," but unfortunately, the project was canceled only two weeks after she joined the cast. Undeterred, Mann continued actively searching for new opportunities and seizing every offer that came her way, even if they were not particularly compelling. One notable project during this time was the 1996 romantic indie comedy "Cosas que nunca te dije" ("Things I Never Told You"), written and directed by Isabel Coixet.

Breakthrough and Marriage

Mann's luck finally changed in 1996 when she landed a major role in the dark comedy "Cable Guy," starring Jim Carrey at the height of his popularity.
