Liam Padraic Aiken: A Multifaceted Actor
Early Life and BeginningsLiam Padraic Aiken was born on January 7, 1990, in New York City. The only child of Bill Aiken, a producer for MTV, and Moya Aiken, an Irish immigrant, he attended his local Dwight-Englewood School. Aiken's acting career began at the tender age of seven with a role in the Broadway production of "A Doll's House."

Film Debut and Breakthrough
Aiken made his film debut in 1997's "Henry Fool." However, it was his role as the son of Susan Sarandon's character in the 1998 drama "Stepmom" that brought him recognition. The film also starred Julia Roberts and Jena Malone.
Critical Acclaim and Notable Roles
Aiken turned down the lead role in 1999's "The Sixth Sense" due to his mother's belief that it was too mature a role for his age. He went on to star in 2002's crime drama "Road to Perdition," alongside Tom Hanks, and played the lead in the family film "Good Boy!" the same year. Despite being considered for the role of Harry Potter, Aiken ultimately lost out to Daniel Radcliffe.
'Lemony Snicket' and Beyond
In 2004, Aiken took on the lead character of Klaus Baudelaire in "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events." He also had a notable role in the 2009 remake of "The Killer Inside Me."
Education and Current Projects
In 2008, Aiken enrolled in New York University, where he is currently studying film and television. He continues to act, appearing in films and television series such as "The 15:17 to Paris" and "American Horror Story: 1984."
