Linda S. Howington, known by her pen name Linda Howard, is an American author of contemporary romance novels and thrillers. Born in Gadsden, Alabama in 1950, Howard has written approximately 70 books in a variety of genres including traditional road books, historical romances, contemporary mysteries, cowboy stories, and supernatural tales. Her works have appeared on numerous bestseller lists, and she has been a finalist for the RITA Award twice. She has also been honored with awards from Romantic Times and Dalton Bestseller magazine.
