Early Life and Career

Lisa Ferraday was born into a noble family, as the daughter of Baron Nicholas De Mezi, who owned 7,000 acres of land in the Balkans. At the age of 12, she moved to Paris with her mother, and in 1944, they fled to Italy where she met and married Colonel Elmer L. Kinkaid Sr. In 1946, Ferraday gave birth to her daughter, Carol Eltwin, and a year later, she moved to the United States to pursue a career as a model and consultant in the film industry.

Love Affairs and Marriages

After divorcing Kinkaid, Ferraday began a romance with actor Richard Greene in June 1951. However, their relationship was cut short when Greene passed away unexpectedly in Los Angeles on January 26, 1953, at the age of 48. She then met millionaire Edgar Douglas at a Hollywood party and they became romantically involved. After obtaining American citizenship, Ferraday sold her old home and purchased a residence in Westchester. She performed on the New York stage at the Astor Theater alongside Herd Hatfield in the play "The Happy Time" and in November 1953, she ranked third on the list of the "Best-Dressed Actresses in Hollywood."

Second Marriage and Later Life

In December 1955, Ferraday ended her relationship with actor Broderick Crawford. On October 18, 1958, she married John V. "Jack" Anderson II, an industrialist from Detroit, in a Methodist church on Park Avenue in New York City. After the death of Anderson's father in 1959, the financially secure couple became even wealthier. In June 1966, Ferraday and her former husband Kinkaid announced the engagement of their daughter Carol to Ronald Eldon Triggs in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Throughout her life, Ferraday remained involved in the entertainment industry and continued to attend various events and parties.

Legacy and Death

Lisa Ferraday and her second husband lived in Palm Beach, Florida, on 423 Chilean Avenue. She passed away suddenly on March 22, 2004, at the age of 83. A memorial service was held at an Episcopal church in Florida. Ferraday is survived by her daughter Carrie Anderson-Kinkaid from Cheyenne, her granddaughter Lindsey Anderson-Kinkaid also from Cheyenne, two stepsons, John V. Anderson III from Cuernavaca, Mexico, and Christopher V. Anderson from Cairns, Australia, and six other grandchildren.
