Biography of Lyudmila Tikhonova
Lyudmila Tikhonova was born on September 15, 1920, in Kharkov. She graduated from the Kharkov Institute of Civil Engineering in 1947. In 1954, she became a member of the Union of Architects of Russia.
Early Career
In 1948, Tikhonova began working at the "Gorproekt" Institute in Donetsk. The same year, she joined the "Oblproekt" Institute, which later reorganized into "Kuibyshevgrazhdanproekt." During this time, she worked on various projects, including the development plan and pavilions for the regional agricultural exhibition in 1956.
Notable Projects
Tikhonova's architectural designs include a four-story administrative building for a cable factory on Krasnoarmeyskaya Street, a residential complex in Stavropol, and a residential complex in Pokhvistnevo. She also designed a two-story private house in Stavropol with apartments on two levels.
In 1972, Tikhonova worked on the layout and construction of the central estate of the Komsomolets agricultural complex in the Kuybyshev region. Her other projects include the House of Models on Galaktionovskaya Street (1964), the October District Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, and individual residential houses for the 9th State Plant of Stavropol (1972). She also designed a complex of residential buildings for the mechanical plant in the 15th quarter (1973).
Consultant Role
Since 1973, Tikhonova has been working as a consultant at the Kuibyshev Institute of Civil Engineering. In this role, she provides guidance and support to the institute's projects.
