Biography of Lyubomir Bodurov

Lyubomir Bodurov is a Bulgarian singer, specifically a dramatic tenor. He graduated from the Sofia Conservatory, where he was a student of Konstanza Kirova. He made his debut in 1950 as a singer in operetta. Bodurov was awarded the International Music Festival "Prague Spring" in 1954. In 1955-1956, he trained in Moscow at the Bolshoi Theatre, where he performed the role of Don Jose in the production of "Carmen", alongside the debut of Irina Arkhipova on the Bolshoi stage. Since 1957, he has been a soloist at the Sofia National Opera. In 1959, Bodurov received the Dimitrov Prize.
