Early Life and EducationLudmila Kroytor was born in Soroca, Moldova, to Rosalia Mihailovna Kroytor-Shamis, a music instructor. Kroytor attended Soroca Secondary School No. 2 while simultaneously studying piano.
Immigration to Australia
In 1992, Kroytor's family immigrated to Australia and settled in Sydney. There, she began dancing with Chilean dancer Oliver Pineda. She also attended Emanuel School, a Jewish school in Sydney.
Salsa World Champion
From 2001 onwards, the Kroytor-Pineda duo dominated the salsa world, winning five World Salsa Championships. Kroytor also excelled in other ballroom dance categories, winning multiple Australian championships.
"Dancing with the Stars" and Television Presence
For the past five seasons, Kroytor has been a judge on the Australian television show "Dancing with the Stars." She has partnered with the likes of boxer Kostya Tszyu (2nd place), actor Luke Jacobz (1st place, 2008), and actor Lincoln Lewis.
