Born in Brazil, Luis Carlos emerged as a formidable defender during his football career.
Early Life and Club Career
Carlos began his journey as a young player in the youth ranks of Corinthians. In 1967, he made his debut for the senior team, donning their colors until 1974. During his tenure with Corinthians, he accumulated 333 appearances without scoring a goal. Seeking new challenges, Carlos joined Flamengo in 1974 and played for them for two seasons, making 118 appearances. With Flamengo, he celebrated victory in the Rio de Janeiro Championship.
Later Career and Retirement
After his time at Flamengo, Carlos played for Operario in 1976, helping them win the Mato Grosso and Sul-Minas tournaments. He subsequently moved to Coritiba, where he ended his playing career in the same year, leaving a mark as the champion of the Parana State.
International Debut
Carlos represented Brazil on the international stage, earning one cap in a match against Paraguay on July 24, 1971. Brazil emerged victorious with a score of 1-0.
