Alberto Rodríguez is a renowned Peruvian football player who has played both for the Peruvian national team and several prominent clubs.

Early Life and Club Career

Rodríguez was born in Lima, Peru, and began his football career with Deportivo Wanka. In 2002, at the age of 17, he joined Sport Club Sporting Cristal, one of Peru's top clubs. With Cristal, he won two Peruvian league titles in 2002 and 2005.

In December 2006, Rodríguez signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Portuguese club Braga for a reported fee of €400,000. He made his debut for Braga in January 2007 and quickly established himself as a regular starter. Rodríguez played in 14 matches in his first season, helping Braga reach the last 16 of the UEFA Cup.

In the following seasons, Rodríguez continued to be a key player for Braga. In 2010/11, he played a pivotal role in guiding the team to a runners-up finish in the Portuguese league and secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League. He also helped Braga reach the final of the UEFA Europa League, where they narrowly lost to Porto.

International Career

Rodríguez's international career with Peru began at the Under-17 level. He made his senior debut for the national team in 2003 and went on to secure a spot at the 2007 Copa América.

In 2011, Rodríguez was part of Peru's squad for the Copa América, where they finished third. He played in five matches during the tournament, showcasing his defensive abilities and contributing to Peru's success.
