Biography of Lukas Slavitsky
Lukas Slavitsky, a soloist of the Bavarian Ballet, was born in Prague. He received his dance education at the conservatory where his father, Jaroslav Slavitsky, led the choreography department. Both of Lukas' parents were ballet artists.

During his student years, Lukas performed solo roles in "The Nutcracker" and "La Bayadère". When the school toured in Brno, he danced the pas de deux in "Don Quixote". In 1999, Lukas and Susanna Zagradnikova, who became his partner, arrived in Munich. Susanna joined as an intern, while Lukas started as a corps de ballet artist. In his first year, he received small roles such as the pas de deux in "Giselle" and the Spirit Bird in Neumeier's "Cinderella".
In 1997, Lukas Slavitsky won the first prize at a competition in Vienna. In 1998, he reached the finals of the competition in Lausanne and received the third prize at the Nureyev competition in Budapest. The following year, he was awarded in Nagoya, Japan. He was also invited to participate in gala concerts in Ludwigsburg in 1997 and 1998 on the occasion of Birgit Keil receiving the German Dance Award. In 1999, he appeared at the Moscow Kremlin Palace with the Young Ballet of France and at the Nureyev memorial evening in Budapest.
At the beginning of the 2000-2001 season, Lukas debuted as Romeo in John Cranko's "Romeo and Juliet" and Prince in Neumeier's "Cinderella", both partnering with Anna Valladolid. In the following season, Lucinda Childs created one of the main roles for him in her ballet "Handel-Korelli". In the early stages of the 2002-2003 season, he became a soloist. As a guest artist, he successfully danced the role of Basil in "Don Quixote" in Venice, together with Maria Ajveld. Upon returning to Munich, he began rehearsing new roles - Lensky in Cranko's "Onegin" and Lysander in Neumeier's "A Midsummer Night's Dream".
