Early Life and College Career

Luke Babbitt is a renowned American professional basketball player who honed his skills at Galena High School in Reno, Nevada before pursuing higher education at the University of Nevada, Reno. During his freshman year in 2008-2009, he made a significant impact on the court, averaging 16.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 32.6 minutes per game. The following season, Babbitt further elevated his performance, registering 21.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 37.1 minutes per game. His exceptional contributions earned him several accolades, including WAC Player of the Year and WAC 1st Team All-Conference honors.

NBA Career

Babbitt was selected 16th overall in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, through a series of trades, his rights were acquired by the Portland Trail Blazers, with whom he ultimately signed a contract.

Europe and Controversial Departure

In August 2013, Babbitt signed a one-year deal with Nizhny Novgorod in Russia.
