Lina Khoudri, a French-Algerian actress, was born on October 3, 1992, in Algeria. Her mother was a violin teacher and her father was a politically active journalist. In 1994, the family was forced to move to France to escape the Algerian Civil War. Khoudri developed a social consciousness at a young age, influenced by protests and readings about Algeria's history and decolonization.

Khoudri studied acting at the National Theatre of La Colline. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in performing arts, she joined the National Theatre of Strasbourg.
