Madhusudan Rao Lagadapati was born on October 22, 1966, in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India. He earned a Bachelor of Technology degree from V.R. Siddhartha Engineering College in Vijayawada and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore. Lagadapati later obtained a Master's degree in Manufacturing Systems from Wayne State University in Detroit, USA.

Career

Lagadapati's career path began with an internship at Waggner, an American corporation, where he gained expertise in quality management. Upon returning to India, he joined the team at Lanco Industries Limited, which was later established near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. In 1992, he became the company's managing director. By 2002, Lagadapati had been appointed Executive Chairman of Lanco Industries Limited.

Success with Lanco Industries

Under Lagadapati's leadership, Lanco Industries grew into one of India's fastest-growing conglomerates. The company's strong performance and Lagadapati's impressive business acumen earned him significant recognition. In 2020, Forbes ranked him as the 29th richest person in India, a testament to his extraordinary success in the business world.

Personal Life

Despite his remarkable success, Lagadapati is known for his humility. He never aspired to hold such a high position, but destiny had other plans for him. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies and traveling with his wife, Rajalakshmi. Lagadapati is also an avid collector of antique clocks.

The Divine Connection

In Tirupati, often referred to as the "Indian Vatican," the local deity Venketeshwara, a form of Vishnu, is highly revered. It is believed that offering a portion of one's earnings to the deity brings blessings and prosperity.
