Biography of Magdalena Lewy-Boulet
Magdalena Lewy-Boulet, an American athlete and participant of the 2008 Olympics, is a well-known experienced sportswoman and a talented runner. Her sports disciplines include various distances, including the marathon. Currently, she trains under the guidance of the popular coach Jack Daniels and is a member of the Saucony athletic club.
Early Life and Immigration
Magdalena Lewy-Boulet was born on August 8, 1973, in Poland. In 1988, she, along with her mother and brother, immigrated to Kiel, Germany, to join her father. In 1991, they moved to California. She obtained her American citizenship on September 11, 2001. Lewy-Boulet currently resides in Oakland with her husband Richie and their son Owen, who was born just a few years ago. She works as an assistant coach in Berkeley. She graduated from the University of California and has been awarded an academic degree and diploma.
Athletic Career
Lewy-Boulet first encountered the Olympics in 2004 when she successfully qualified through the Olympic Trials and finished in fifth place. In the following year, she did not compete due to significant reasons. However, in 2006, she participated in both the NYC marathon and the Orange County marathon, where she demonstrated excellent performance, finishing in first place with a time of 2 hours, 50 minutes, and 41 seconds. In 2007, she distinguished herself in the Twin Cities marathon, and the following year, she thoroughly prepared for the upcoming Olympics in Beijing. Along with qualifying for the Olympics, Lewy-Boulet achieved third place in the Stanford's competition.
