Early Life and CareerYuta Hidajima, a Japanese professional basketball player, hails from Fukuoka Prefecture. After graduating from Rakuunan High School, he honed his skills at Aoyama Gakuin University before making his professional debut with the Aisin SeaHorses Mikawa in 2013.
Success with the SeaHorses Mikawa
Hidajima played a pivotal role in the SeaHorses Mikawa's success, helping the team win the B.League Western Division title (46-14) in 2016-17 during the inaugural campaign. The following season, they finished as Central Division champions (48-12), with Hidajima earning the league's MVP award after averaging 12.9 points, 4.1 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in 55 games.
Contract and stints with Link Tochigi Brex and Brisbane Bullets
In July 2018, Hidajima penned a five-year contract with Link Tochigi Brex. The deal allowed him to explore higher-level opportunities elsewhere and return to Tochigi at any time. The following month, he signed with the Brisbane Bullets of the Australian NBL under the league's Asian Player rule. However, his stint in Australia was short-lived, as he was released in January 2019. Days later, he re-joined Link Tochigi Brex for the remainder of the season.
International Career
Hidajima made his international debut for Japan in 2013 at the FIBA Asia Championship. He went on to help Japan secure a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games, further cementing his status as one of his country's top basketball players.
