Early Career and Transition to Hammer Throw

Born in Poland, the young Malwina Kopron began her athletic journey in javelin throw. However, her talent and passion for hammering eventually led her to switch disciplines. In 2009, she made her competitive debut in Slupsk, finishing third in the junior division of the Janusz Kusociński Memorial.

National Success and Junior Championships

Kopron's potential became evident as she swiftly rose through the ranks. From 2014 to 2016, she secured three consecutive national youth championships in hammer throw. In addition, she claimed bronze at the Polish Championships in 2014 and 2015, before earning silver in both 2016 and 2017.

International Achievements and Record-Breaking Performance

Kopron's international debut came in 2017 as a member of the Polish team at the World Championships in London. Her outstanding performance earned her the bronze medal. That same year, she triumphed at the Summer Universiade in Taipei, setting a personal best of 76.85 m, which became the second-best mark in Polish history. Kopron also established a national junior record in hammer throw with a distance of 72.74 m in 2016.

Olympic Bronze and Continued Success

In 2020, Kopron reached the pinnacle of her career thus far when she captured the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Her consistently high level of performance has also been showcased at the European Championships, where she earned a bronze medal in 2017.
