Mamie Rearden's name entered the annals of history as she gradually ascended the rankings of the world's oldest living people. In 2011, she became the oldest African American in the United States, surpassing Mississippi Winn. By 2012, she had entered the top 100 oldest people worldwide, aged 113 years and 312 days. Subsequently, she achieved the remarkable feat of reaching 114 years old, becoming the 91st person to officially cross this threshold.
