Manuel Gutiérrez de la Concha, Marqués del Duero, was a prominent Spanish general and the brother of Don José Gutiérrez de la Concha.

Early Career and the Espartero Uprising

Concha played a significant role in the 1841 uprising of troops against the regency of Baldomero Espartero. His actions during this rebellion helped to secure his position as a respected military leader.

Constitutional Crisis and Exile

In 1853, Concha joined forces with Leopoldo O'Donnell and Luis González Bravo to present Queen Isabella II with an address demanding the convening of the Cortes and the appointment of a liberal ministry. However, his opposition to the monarchy led to his exile to the Canary Islands. He eventually made his way to France, but soon returned to Spain.

Moroccan Campaign
