Marco Borriello is an Italian football player, known for his attacking skills, who has played for both the Italian national team and Italian club AC Milan. He was born on June 18, 1982, in the city of Naples, in Southern Italy. Borriello comes from a family with two brothers, Fabio and Piergiorgio.

Early Life and Football Career

Borriello began his football journey at a young age, being raised in the Milan football school. However, he was unable to break into the first team. In 2001, he was loaned out to Triestina and later to Treviso. In the first half of the 2002/2003 season, Borriello made his debut for AC Milan in Serie A, appearing in 17 matches but only scoring one goal.

From 2003 to 2006, Borriello went on loan to Empoli, Reggina, Sampdoria, and Treviso. During this time, he continued to play on loan for different clubs.

Success and Challenges

During the 2006/2007 season, Borriello faced a setback when he was suspended for doping. However, on June 21, 2007, Milan sold him to Genoa for 1.3 million euros. The 2007/2008 season proved to be Borriello's most successful, as he scored 19 goals in 35 matches for Genoa, securing the third spot in the list of top scorers behind Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet.

On May 29, 2008, Borriello returned to AC Milan, and this time his performance for the "Rossoneri" was more successful.
