Maria Angela Redaelli was born in 1889 in the commune of Inzago, near Milan, Italy. She became known as Maria Radanelli and was married to Gaspare Granoli. They lived in Sesto San Giovanni, where Maria worked at the factory for 40 years.

In 1974, when Maria was already over 75 years old, she moved to Novate Milanese and settled with her daughter Carla. Despite her age, Maria maintained good health and remained active. She was able to move around and had only minor issues with her hearing and vision, common for someone her age. However, these problems did not hinder Maria from reading newspapers and watching television daily.

Interestingly, Maria had a passion for football and was a devoted fan of Inter F.C. She supported the club for many decades. Her 113th birthday was celebrated with great enthusiasm, with the support of the city authorities and the city fan club. Maria received congratulations from the management of Inter as well.

Sadly, Maria Radanelli passed away on April 2, 2013, just one day before her 114th birthday. She was survived by her 88-year-old daughter, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. At the time of her death, Maria was the oldest resident of Italy and Europe.
