Armenian Botanist
Renowned Armenian botanist and plant taxonomist, is affiliated with the Institute of Botany of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
Taxonomic Contributions
Her meticulous research has led to the description of numerous species within the genus Rhaponticoides, formerly classified under the genus Centaurea. With her keen eye for detail, she has distinguished 48 distinct species for the first time.
Academic Credentials
In 1992, under the esteemed guidance of the renowned botanist Armen Leonovich Takhtajan, she successfully defended her doctoral dissertation titled "Model Subgenus Centaurea". Her dissertation marked a significant contribution to the field of plant systematics.
