Marian Fredriksson, a renowned writer who made a successful career as a journalist, turned to fiction only after turning 50. Before starting to write novels, she had achieved a successful career as a journalist, with her articles regularly appearing in leading Swedish media outlets. It was only in 1980 that she wrote her first book. Her very first novel, "The Book of Eve," which offered a contemporary interpretation of biblical stories, became a bestseller. This was followed by "The Book of Cain," which further solidified the success of the writer.
Fredriksson gained worldwide fame after the release of her novel "Hanna's Daughters," which tells the story of three generations of women from the same family.
In total, Fredriksson has written 13 novels, which have been translated into 40 languages and published with a total circulation of several million copies.
