Early Life and Education

Kobayashi completed her studies at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, where she defended her thesis on the work of Olivier Messiaen. Upon relocating to Paris, she honed her craft under the tutelage of esteemed vocalists Réjane Crespin and William Christie.

Teaching Career

Since 2004, Kobayashi has shared her knowledge and expertise as a professor at the National Conservatory of Strasbourg.
