Early Life
Mark Andrew Consuelos was born in 1971 in Zaragoza, Spain, to a Mexican father and an Italian mother. He spent his childhood in Florida and Illinois, where he attended Bloomingdale High School.

Education and Early Career
Consuelos initially attended the University of Notre Dame but later transferred to the University of South Florida, where he specialized in marketing. However, he did not pursue a career in marketing as he had already started acting in popular television shows by then. His early television roles included projects such as "All My Children," "Connect With English," and "Friends." It was on the set of "All My Children" that Consuelos met his future wife, actress Kelly Ripa.

Television and Film Career
Consuelos started his career as a television actor and continued to work in the medium for a significant period of time. He also appeared in some films in the early 2000s, including "Pride & Loyalty" and "The Last Place on Earth." In 2003, he landed the lead role in the television comedy "Beautiful Girl." Consuelos also had roles in stage productions such as "Boy's Life," "Orphans," and "One Shot, One Kill."

Recent Projects
In 2005, Consuelos appeared in the military action film "The Great Raid" and the comedy thriller "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" in 2006. He also starred in the comedy "Let's Get Married" in 2006.
