Hayley Mills: An Acclaimed British Actress
Hayley Mills, born Hayley Catherine Rose Vivien Myles on April 18, 1946, in London, England, is a celebrated British actress renowned for her captivating performances.

Childhood and Early Success
Mills' artistic heritage, as the daughter of actor John Mills and playwright Mary Hayley Bell, instilled a passion for the arts from a tender age. At the age of twelve, director J. Lee Thompson cast Mills as the lead in "Tiger Bay." Her talent quickly caught the attention of Walt Disney's wife, Lillian, leading to her starring role in "Pollyanna." Mills' portrayal of the "happy orphan" earned her an Oscar nomination, solidifying her status as a budding star.

Disney's Golden Girl
Disney Studios continued to feature Mills in a series of successful films, including "The Parent Trap," where she showcased her musical abilities with the iconic "Let's Get Together" song. Throughout her Disney career, she starred in "In Search of the Castaways," "Summer Magic," "The Moon-Spinners," and "That Darn Cat!" Mills became one of the most beloved child actresses of the mid-20th century, earning her the Disney Legend award in 1998.
Transition to Adult Roles
In 1966, Mills ventured to England after completing her Disney contract. She starred in "The Family Way" and made her stage debut in "Peter Pan," for which she received a Theatre World Award.
Later Career and Personal Life
Mills reprised her role in "The Parent Trap" sequel in the 1980s before focusing on television work. She married 53-year-old director Roy Boulting in 1971, divorcing in 1977. She later gave birth to two sons, one with Boulting and one with British actor Leigh Lawson.
