Talk Talk

In 1978, Hollis met Simon Brenner, Lee Harris, and Paul Webb. The four musicians formed Talk Talk in 1981. The band achieved commercial success with hits such as "It's My Life," "Such a Shame," and "Talk Talkruen."

Solo Career and Soundtrack

Following the dissolution of Talk Talk, Hollis released his only solo album, "Mark Hollis," in 1998. He also contributed to Ani Garbarek's album "Smiling and Waving" in 2001. In 2012, he wrote the soundtrack for the television series "Boss."

Retirement and Family Life

In the early 2000s, Hollis stepped away from the music industry to focus on his family. He married and had two children.
