Early Years

Marc Overmars, a Dutch footballer, was born on March 29, 1973, in the small town of Emst, Netherlands. From a young age, Overmars dreamt of playing football after being inspired by the legendary Johan Cruyff. He began his career under the guidance of his older brother, Edwin, who played as a forward for Go Ahead Eagles. Overmars started playing for SV Epe, a second division club, at the age of 14.

Rise to Stardom
