Mark Alan Ruffalo was born on November 22, 1967, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA. He gained worldwide fame in 2012 when he portrayed Dr. Bruce Banner in the superhero film "The Avengers." Ruffalo replaced Edward Norton in the role, who played Banner in the film "The Incredible Hulk" (2008). Early Life and Education
Mark Ruffalo was born into a family of Frank Lawrence Ruffalo, a construction painter, and Mary Rose Ruffalo, a stylist-hairdresser. He has sisters Tania and Nicole, and had a brother Scott, who passed away in 2008. His father has Italian roots, and his mother has French-Canadian and Italian heritage. Ruffalo's childhood was spent in Virginia Beach, where his father worked. He attended schools in Wisconsin and Virginia and participated in wrestling during his childhood and adolescence.
